We offer classes tailored to different age groups, with options for intermediate and competitive fencers as well. Please find your age group below or scroll down to explore our intermediate and competitive options. We look forward to welcoming you to the exciting world of fencing!
BEGINNER CLASSES
Welcome to our fencing program! We’re excited to offer fall classes beginning on September 4th, designed for both beginners and more experienced fencers. Please note that equipment is not included in the class fee. For beginners, we offer an equipment package starting at $340 plus tax, with an electrical set available for $137 plus tax. Equipment can be ordered during the first class, and while facemasks are optional, they are always welcome.
For beginners, we recommend wearing sweatpants (not shorts or jeans) and athletic shoes. A flat-soled shoe, such as a tennis or indoor soccer shoe, is ideal, though any exercise shoe will work for getting started. Additionally, all students must join USA Fencing for insurance purposes. You can sign up ahead of time by visiting USA Fencing Membership or we can help you with the process on-site. A 90-day trial membership is sufficient to start, with a non-competitive membership available afterward for $29.

ADULT BEGINNERS
Jump in any time! Our small group classes always have some review to help you get the basics. Our coaches are happy to advise you based on your goals as you progress.
If you have had some past fencing experience and are starting up again after more than a year’s break, we recommend signing up for the beginner group. The first couple of classes will get you reoriented to the basics, and then you can easily switch over to private lessons and open bouting once you feel caught up. If you prefer, we’re happy to have a coach talk with you about your experience and recommend the best fit.
$45 / class
Please pre-purchase your class spot ahead of attendance. We will assume you are coming to the next class unless you write in a different date during the checkout process.
We can only provide equipment for the first class. If you wish to continue, you will need to purchase some items. The coach will discuss options with you.
Ages 18+
- Mondays 7-8 pm
- Wednesdays 7-8 pm
INTERMEDIATE CLASSES
In addition to your group class, intermediate fencers are strongly encouraged to attend bouting sessions. There is a $30 floor fee for non-members. If your child is interested in competing, please inform us so we can provide the necessary guidance.
We’re excited to kick off our fall fencing classes, starting on September 3rd. Please note that all students are required to have a full fencing uniform and electrical equipment for class. Due to COVID-19 protocols, sharing equipment is not allowed, so make sure you have everything you need. Facemasks are optional but encouraged. If a student comes to class without the proper attire, they will be allowed to watch but not participate, so please remember to bring all your fencing gear.
All students must also join USA Fencing for insurance purposes. You can sign up ahead of time at USA Fencing Membership or we can assist you on-site. Intermediate fencers should sign up for the $29 access membership or the $99 competitive membership. Please note that access members will need to upgrade to compete.

COMPETITIVE GROUP
Welcome Back!
We’re excited to start our spring fencing classes on January 2nd. All students are required to have a full fencing uniform and electrical equipment for class. Please let us know if you’re missing anything, and we’ll assist you. Due to COVID-19 protocols, students must have their own equipment—no exceptions. If you forget your fencing gear, you’ll need to watch from the sidelines as participation won’t be allowed. Please note that locker rentals are discontinued during the pandemic.

Four-Week Sessions:
- BRONZE: One group class weekly – $383
- SILVER: Two group fencing classes and one 20-minute private lesson weekly, includes membership for unlimited bouting and discounted add-on private lessons – $620
Membership Requirement:
All students must join USA Fencing for insurance. Please sign up for the $99 competitive membership at USA Fencing Membership before your first class of the season (season runs August 1 – July 31), or we can help you sign up on-site.
Competitive Group (Invitation Only):
By invitation only, with approval from the head coach, these classes are limited to 10 students during the pandemic. This group is designed for students serious about competing, offering high-level conditioning, footwork, themed bouting, tactics, and more. Fencers in this group are generally expected to participate in additional open bouting and private lessons.
